Trip To A Candy Store

This past Sunday the weather was very nice so we headed up to New York on the train to visit Dylan’s Candy Bar.   I enjoyed it a lot and didn’t even have one bite; instead of eating something, I treated myself to a special xmas tree ornament and enjoyed buying some special gifts for others.
I leave [...]

Prayers and Staying Positive

Good morning,
Late yesterday afternoon Teacherman (hubby) had a doctor’s appointment.   The doctor did a cardiogram in the office and didn’t like the looks of it, so this morning we are out bright and early to see a specialist.  We don’t know what tests will be done or if he will have to stay over night for some.
I [...]

A Grand Time at the Ren Faire

A grand time was had by all at the Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire yesterday.  It is bigger, better and even more fun then we remember from our first time here over 15 years ago.  It is totally awesome.   Lots of shade too, which for me is very important since I don’t like being in the sun and wilt very [...]

Off to the Faire!

Hazzah!
We are off for a three-day weekend family vacation to see the King and Queen, be amused by jesters, and cheer at the jousts at the Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire.  We haven’t been in over 12 years, so we are looking forward to it.  It will also be my daughter’s first time.

Wishing everyone a great weekend! [...]

Happy Birthday To The Man I Love

Today is hubby’s 54th birthday.
Since he is a teacher, he has off in the summer so he got to spend a fun morning with our 12 year old daughter. They stopped at the bagel shop for breakfast and then played miniature golf together.
When I got home at about 3:30 (I get out [...]

Sorting, Soreness, and Silliness

What a fun and very full weekend it has been.
I managed to sort several more boxes on Saturday – resulting in 2 huge bags of trash, 3 boxes for charity and\or possible ebay items, and several empty boxes.
I was only able to work at the sorting for 4 hours instead of the scheduled 5, because [...]

A Tribute To Aunt Grace

Teacherman’s (hubby) Aunt Grace passed away this weekend, she was in her early 80’s.

Teacherman has fond memories of her from his childhood. I had the pleasure of meeting her and visiting with her a few times when Teacherman and I first met over 20 years ago. And we took our daughter over to visit a [...]

Junk Will No Longer Rule My Life

There is an ongoing battle in my house – Us versus the JUNK!.  This battle spills over so that it sometimes causes tension between myself and Teacherman, for a variety of reasons most of which make no sense, but for some reason pushes both our buttons.
Anyway, Sunday I left the house to go visit my mom [...]

Family Day

Today is going to be spent enjoying my family.  We are heading out to the bookstore and then for a little time at the park.
I am so enjoying being relaxed and sleeping better all this week.   I don’t know whether it is just recovering from the four days at Womon Gathering, or practicing self-Reiki, or [...]
