Lady Rose In A Nutshell – The “unofficial Queen of fatblogging” and the “famous” Lady with the “F.A.T. Attitude!” She was born in 1955, to a home of poor nutrition, she yo-yo’d in weight from age 12 (130 lbs) to age 50, tipping the scales at least once at 301 lbs. A confessed slug at heart (non-exerciser) and food-oholic, she fed her addiction with pizza (extra cheese), spaghetti (extra meat sauce), and mashed potatoes (extra butter). Then one day after almost a year of dieting (yet again!), she was overcome with a fit of laughter, the Truth was revealed and the Spirit of Our Lady of Lards took over her life and set her feet upon the path of health, happiness, and humor and filled her with new attitude (F.A.T. Attitude, living life fabulous, awesome and tenacious!) and the Diet Pulpit was born. From that day forward she gave up dieting and started following the Tao of Weigh, a philosophy based on no more dieting, eating for fuel and getting healthy (one choice at time, one day at time). Her life’s mission is to save the bodies of as many health seekers as she can by what ever means it takes. She will take candy away from babies. She will strip your cabinets bare. She will whip you into shape. Hallelujah! In a world that lacks a strong unifiying voice, that is filled with diet myths, lies, “fat hate,” and confusion, Lady Rose’s voice rings out above the crowd bringing common sense and laughter to diet seekers every where as she spreads the good word of Don’t Be a Fool, Eat For Fuel and reminds us all it’s Health that matters, NOT size! Hallelujah!

Welcome,
I am Lady Rose, 50+ years young, a student of life and all around fun person. I am also a loving wife and mom to an awesome young lady (who turns 15 May 2011), devoted friend, slightly crazed office worker, dabbler in several arts and crafts, avid reader, tv junkie, with a splash of free-spirit hippie thrown in. My blogging focus (since May of 2006) has been my journing to lose over 150 lbs and regain my health. I turned my life around from being an exhausted, depressed, stressed out couch potato and found a “new attitude” and now I’m healthier, happier and have more energy every day. I now consider myself a Health Warrior (not a health nut, not that there is anything wrong with that). In Jan. 2011 I expanded my blogging my adventures to include other aspects of life – my adventures as a kitchen witch, balancing the spiritual\magical aspects of life with the day to day “muggle” realm and sharing the tidbits of wisdom I learn along the way as I strive to live my life as a wise woman. I am wiccan\pagan priestess with over 30 years of experience. I am also a qi gong practitioner and enjoy learning about many different spiritual paths.
I hope you enjoy reading the Diet Pulpit. I started it after almost a year on my own personal journey to recovering my health. It was something I felt inspired to create and share with every one. I was in need of a place to have fun, play and enjoy life while at the same time staying with my healthy lifestyle changes and eating plan. I thought others might enjoy looking at the more humorous side of things too. I hope by sharing what I find motivating and inspiring and what makes me laugh with all of you that we can get healthy and happy, reaching our goals together as we build an online supportive fatblogging community.
I am work in progress, creating a life of wellness a day at a time. I started from an unhealthy, exhausted weight of 293.5 lbs. I am not perfect, I hate housework, I procrasinate, and I’m a slug at heart (hate exercise). My goals include getting my whole life healthy starting with my body, (overcoming food addictions, bad habits, and lack of exercise), and including my home (starting from chaos to getting reasonably organized), and building a firm financial base (debt free and savings). I look forward to sharing the journey with all of you as we achieve our goals together.
