It’s Saturday and you are all wondering where is the weighin - well as I posted yesterday I’m taking the weekend off (***shoves trace feelings of guilt and panic under the rug***) - it feels a bit odd I admit, but I’m already committed to it and hubby is making breakfast as I type this (which includes a bagel and bacon *gasp*) and he’d be a bit upset if I pulled the plug now and said I’ve changed my mind - no food!. So I’m going to just relax and enjoy.
We had an awesome afternoon and evening together last night. The new Indianna Jones Movie about the crystal skulls is awesome. Don’t let any one ruin the surprises or tell you the details, just go see it. Fans of the movie series will be thrilled and if you haven’t seen any of other movies you will enjoy too. The stunts, graphics, and thrills will grab you and take you for a ride. Even Angelgirl said she liked it (she wasn’t too sure about the movie when we first said we were going).
We ended up not going out to dinner, no one was particularly hungry after sharing a bag of movie popcorn so we just came home and nibbled a bit later in the evening on a few things we had in the house.
Tonight is Angelgirl’s birthday party at the Laser Park (they provide pizza and an ice cream birthday cake). We have 8 confirmed guests and a few we haven’t heard from yet (a pet peeve of mine is that people should at least have the courtesy to RSVP either way!). Minimum is 12 for a weekend party, so no matter what we paid for 12. However, I’m focusing on the fun and just going with the flow. It doesn’t matter if only 8 show up. The point is to have a good time with her friends, and we didn’t have do any of the preparation or clean up at the house.
Tomorrow I am hoping to get some photos taken to post on my other blog and maybe even some boxes sorted. But I’m not counting on it. I plan on doing it almost every weekend, and something else always comes up or I am just too exhausted. Who knows, perhaps tomorrow will be the day. It helps I have Monday off, so I can do laundry and shopping then, which frees up Sunday.
So that’s my weekend, started off last night with a fun, family outing and enjoying the sunshine with my coffee this morning.
I hope everyone has a terrific, healthy and happy holiday weekend. Lady Rose

Dear Lady R.,
Glad to hear you are taking the weekend off. It sounds like you are on the right track for having a good weekend. Also glad you enjoyed the movie. Crystal skulls have been coming up on the TV lately. I hope to see the movie in the next week or two.
Sorting out boxes, or avoiding the sorting has been a way of life for me, but I’m having company on Monday so I’m getting the storage containers out of the hallway and dining room at least ! Nothing like having people over to get the house in reasonable order !
I haven’t weighed-in yet this week. I do it every other week, but a blouse I had on today was loser than last week and my eating has been pretty good.
Glad to check in and see how you are doing. Take care, Janice

Happy Birthday Angel Girl!
I’m glad your enjoying your weekend. We’re enjoying an unusual rainy weekend - three days of rain! I feel like I’m back in California.
