Our Grand Opening Post:  Save the Body and the Soul Will Follow (a bit of brimstone and silliness)

Yes today is April Fool’s Day too, and I purposely picked that day last year for the Grand Opening of the Diet Pulpit, because my motto is ”Don’t be a fool, eat for fuel.” I started the blog a few days earlier with preliminary posts before the official “grand opening,” such as The Diet Pulpit - coming soon,  Diet Mascot Adopt A Hippo, and New Holiday - Oh Happy Day (includes some April Fool’s ideas too), to generate a little fun and interest before the BIG day (April 1, 2007).

I had already been co-authoring and fatblogging with my best friend Mama Kelly a blog since April 30th, 2006, at a free wordpress blog called Incredible Shrinking Ladies (towards the end of that blog we briefly had a few other invited ladies join us), and had decided I wanted to also branch out on my own. Diet Pulpit began as a “free” wordpress blog, and then in the Fall of 2007 I took the leap and purchased my own domain, hosting, and even hired a wonderful, talented person to design and install the theme (in my favorite color Purple!).  I then also moved all the content from Incredible Shrinking Ladies to here as well, (first post Introduction).

So now you know the history of the Diet Pulpit.   Don’t worry there won’t be quiz.
