So you have several chocolate bunnies, chocolate eggs and various other chocolate items left over in the Easter baskets and you have been resisting their tempting goodness all week.
Resist no more! We’ve all seen the reports on how dark chocolate is good for you. But a closer look at all chocolate shows that it’s all good for you.
Chocolate is made from the cocao beans, which are vegetables. Sugar is also derived from a plant (sugar cane and sugar beets). Therefore, chocolate can be considered a vegetable.
Well, maybe that’s true during the Easter holiday season, which lasts for several weeks after Easter or until every last jelly bean is out of the house.
(**sigh** If only this were true!)

AHA!! Chocolate as a veggie! *GENIUS*!!!! Wahahahaha!!
*YAIS* ^_~
One cool thing, too…. it somewhat speeds up your metabolism - another plus for dieting? hehe
Now, some say it is because of the caffeine in it - not so.
I remember arguing with a friend as to whether or not chocolate had any of the stuff in it. She would say, “My mother (or grandmother, or aunt, I forget) can’t eat chocolate because she’s allergic to caffeine”…. now, if anyone has a caffeine allergy, but can drink decaf no problem, then chocolate shouldn’t be a problem either.
The facts? Well…. *technically* it DOES has a micro-amount of caffeine - but then, so does decaf coffee.
Decaf coffee has such a small amount, that it’s considered negligible even for many of those who react unfavorably to caffeine - and a bar of chocolate has less caffeine than a cup of decaf coffee.
Neato-keen, eh?
HOWEVER…. chocolate *does* have quite a few other natural chemicals that cause similar reactions in our bodies as does caffeine - making some of us hyper or wound up, and so on.
Wow…. *ehe* - I guess I’m motor-mouthin’ just a mite, here…. s’pose I best end this here comment b’fore I wears out my welcome hehe
Awesome writin’s ya got here! Keep it up!
Seeya around! ^_~

Now you are speaking my language. I do not care if the stuff is healthy or not, I love it, and nothing will stop me from indulging whenever possible. I am glad to hear my absolute favourite is actually a vegetable. See Mom, I DO eat all my vegetables!
