Who cares what the scale says! Angelgirl and I had an awesome evening of Irish music and various styles of clog dancing. In spite of the rain and not really knowing where I was going or where to park, we arrived safely at the theater. I just LOVE The Chieftains, and listening to their music you just instantly feel happy and bouncy, and everyone was clapping and toe tapping along. They ended the concert with the dancers leading an old folk line dance out into the audience and gathering up folks to join in. After a few rounds around the theater they all went up on stage for a few circles around the band (the audience members with them were having a grand time up there). The house went crazy with cheers and clapping, ending the evening with a standing ovation and big smiles all around.
Here are a couple of videos I found on you tube so you can enjoy a little of the kind entertainment we got to enjoy last night. Erin Go Braugh!

Weight: 233 – Gain: 6.5
The past couple days have been so hectic I haven’t really been as careful as I should be foodwise, with a few too many nibbles here and there. But I know the main cause for the gain is the water retention is building up. Most of the gain was since yesterday over night – 5 lbs. My left knee is again bigger then my head, and this time my calf is tight and swollen also, and my ankle is also puffy. Plus I have a lot of aching and pain in my other joints as well, so inflammation is just running amok. I won’t bore you with the details of the past medical stuff.
The nasty cold and wet weather isn’t helping. I can’t really relax and put my feet up this weekend either, since hubby is away as a faculty advisor for the high school senior trip in Disney World, Florida. Angelgirl has a packed weekend that will keep us both very busy today and tomorrow.
Oh well, such as life and we shall carry on! And now back to the HAPPY MUSIC of The Chieftains!

I am sorrier than I can say that we couldn’t come along. GD’s procedure seems to have made things worse instead of better and well you know whats doing with me.
I am glad though that you had such a good time!
I hope you find moments this weekend where you CAN put your feet up and even, perhaps, through a bag of frozen peas on your knee. I love you hun and am sorry that you’re hurting

Knee bigger than your head..ewww, you poor thing.
I started my journey to “thinnitude” in November with a bit of help from a gastric band. It’s not a gimme but it certainly does help with never feeling hungry. All the “need to eat” is still there though.
Good luck with it all, you’re an inspiration.

Goddess Bless you, it sounds like a busy week! How Great to see the Chieftains (wish I could have been there)! I hope you get a chance to listen to your knee & get off your feet, but if not I hope Goddess turns it into a chance for an adventure! I found that my own “condition” (8 months pregnant, carrying an obstinate 2-year-old around, with ankles so swollen they are bigger than my head) has actually caused me to make friends with many casual aquaintances. I hope that having to hobble at a slower pace has it’s rewards for you as well. Silver lining and all that stuff
