I got a lot more projects done since the last time I posted about Yarn Mountain and all the birthday and Christmas gifts I’m making this year.
A Pink Blanket - for one of my nieces (it will be for her birthday)

2 more scarves and hats, these are for the nieces (the platoon of scarves and hats was done last month for the nephews - you can see those in the post: Update on Yarn Mountain). The black and white one is straight across the bottom - it is just bunched up a pick in the photo.

Four shawls done - two are gifts for friends at the office, the multi-color one is for my friend Mama Kelly and the purple one is for me (her and I are going to Womon Gathering in June and I thought it would be nice for us to have these to wear).

I am still working on the pink hooded cape for my goddaughter. And I still need to make a Ron Weasley sweater for my other goddessdaughter and poncho for another friend at work, but I need to design the patterns for these two so that is going to take time.
Also started two small projects - “witchy” socks (they remind me of the socks the wicked witch of west was wearing in the Wizard of Oz) I am adapting a vintage (1940’s) pattern for zig zag socks done in two colors. I am making one pair for me (black and purple) and another for my dear friend Mama Kelly (2 shades of green) to keep our feet warm at Womon Gathering in June - we’ll be sleeping in a cabin for a few nights and these will keep our toes toasty at night. I haven’t been happy with how the first one is coming out though when I got to the heel - so I’ve set that project aside for a bit. Hopefully it won’t get lost and forgotten in the great abyss of “unfinished” craft projects.
If you’re interested in more details about the craft projects you can also pop over to Enchanted Crafts (a blog my friend Mama Kelly and I keep for arts and crafts and creative ideas).
I haven’t been crocheting as much the past couple of weeks, just a couple times a week or when I’m out some way have to wait (i.e. doctor’s appointments, my daughter’s karate class). Previously I was crocheting every day for a couple hours. But slowing down a bit is ok, I have all year to finish to the projects and I don’t want to totally burn out.
