I went food shopping this weekend and got in lots of cucumbers, celery, baby carrots, broccoli, cherry tomatoes, a bottle of low fat Ranch dressing (I know, I know, the dressing is a bit of an indulgence but I am measuring and counting it in my daily calories, it is 30 calories a TBL.), Activa yogurt (low fat variety) which is 70 calories (normally I don’t do yogurt because of it’s high calories for such a little amount of food but decided to give it a try and see what happens), and some sugar free coffee creamor (my one vice - a cup of coffee in the morning with sugar free creamor and stevia (natural non-sugar sweetner).
Added to the fresh veggies and yogurt from the store, I already had at home apples and oatmeal (two servings a day).
The results after a three day weekend of eating the above mentioned foods in measured, calculated amounts:
**** drum roll ****
A whooping 214.5 lbs!!! A total GAIN of 8.5 lbs.
I am well on my way to being the fattest person on the planet who eats next to nothing. At this point I’m throwing up my hands and tossing in the towel because I have NO clue what to do next. I will continue to eat healthy, I will contine to get some activity and excerise at least 5 days a week - but I am out of ideas or plans as to what to do in order to lose weight.
At this point I am praying that Dr. Phil or someone steps up to the challenge and intervenes with a plan. So Dr. Phil if you are listening I’m sending out a Diet S.O.S!
Since that proably isn’t going to happen, I will continue to do my best to eat healthy, be healthy, and accept myself just as I am. I am so much more then just a number on the scale. I am going to focus on my family and friends, my arts and crafts, my writing, and enjoy life.

Hi Lady Rose,
I just wanted to tell you to not give up. It’s great that you know you are more than the number you see on the scales.
I would like to make a suggestion about adding whole food products to your diet.
Let me know if you want to try this. I can probably send you a 30 day supply, on the house, if you promise to take it everyday for 30 days.
Let me know and best to you. Don’t give up.

Stay with it and don’t get discouraged. We inherit the promise through faith and PATIENCE. Keep doing what you know to be right! Enjoy the Feast Supercharged each day! Exercise a bit each day. Drink plenty of water and watch the carbohydrates. I found I had to reduce my carb intake and increase my protein to stave off hunger. Try using a low carb protein powder in the morning with the feast supercharged blended together with a high fiber powder mixed with soy milk. I have found great sucess using this as my breakfast in the morning.
Grace and Peace,
Ed

I am sorry your weight loss efforts are not going well. I congratulate you on focusing more on your family and enjoying life. If we live our whole life focusing on food and the scale, how much fun will we be missing!! As for diet, I have found low carb to be a wonderful alternative to constant dieting. I eat around 30 grams of carbs per day (I don’t count, I just don’t eat anything high in carbs). I eat plenty of meat, fish, chicken. I also eat lots of veggis and nuts. I live quite happily this way, and now I can enjoy my life and not live by the scale. I don’t know if you have tried low carb yet, but it is an enjoyable alternative.
Best of luck

You are truly amazing! I don’t know anyone with the willpower that you have!
Have you tried using green tea? I’m thinking of trying it, but was wondering if you had had any experience with it and whether you thought it was worthwhile.
I’d love to see you on Dr. Phil.

I’m not a big tea drinker never found one that I could get past the taste - but I know green tea is good for you - I’d have to use it in tablet form though. I have tried Yerba Mate tea, which has more on the antioxidants in it — I got the coffee flavor - it’s not much like coffee, but I add a tsp of instant coffee to it and sugar free creamor and I like it. But I didn’t stick with it — I need to get back to using it. I have a link to a good source to get more on the diet pulpit shop page.
