The second weighin for the New Year already.
Weight 206.5 0 overall lost, but at least a 1.5 lbs lost of the 24 lbs gained some for no reason prior to the holidays and 3 days of indulgences over the holidays (see week 88 for details).
So only 12 more pounds to lose to get back to my lowest weight so far of 194.5 (week 84).
Food - All week I’ve stayed with the Rice House Diet guidelines - oatmeal for my whole grain, apples for my fruit, a little skinless\boneless chicken and spinach a couple of nights, and kept my calories under 1000 a day, with only 1 exception.
One day I was cleaning out the refrigerator and there was a bag of left over chocolate chips. Since everyone is always telling me a little indulgence is ok, even though I KNOW for a fact that for me it is NOT ok, I decided to once again prove the point. I measured the chips, it was 1/4 cup. I ate them. The next morning I weighed myself and gained a half pound (and I still haven’t been able to lose it). So not more proving my point any more, I’m sticking to my diet plan 100%.
Excerise - For all five days last week I did my laps on the stairs of my office building four times (equals a total of up and down 8 flights of steps). I realize this isn’t much in the grand scheme of things, but for me it is a lot. By the time I’m done I can barely breath and usually have to rest on the bottom step. I’m taking lots of aspirin in the afternoon to help counter the pain in my knees and hips. It is free, accessible, a nice break away from my desk, doesn’t depend on the weather since it’s inside and air conditioned, and something I think I can stick with and plan on increase the number of times I go up and down over time.
