This is a fantastic poem - and very accurately reflects how everyone (myself included!) will be feeling after the New Year's...

In fact, in spite of having lost a lot of weight in the past year or so, I made a promise to myself that, over the next few days (until January 2, in fact), I will indulge each and every guilty pleasure and food craving I have. Crackers, cakes, pies, fois gras - you name it, I'm eating it.

This is a time for celebration, after all, and, at least for these few days, I've decided to take a break from my diet.

But all of that is changing on January 2, which is when the local gym reopens after their holiday break, and which is when you can also expect to see me on the treadmill 3-4 times a week minimum!

On a side note, isn't it kind of sad how weight concerns ruin holidays for people like me?

All the best in 2008,
George
