No I’m not kidding (it’s not a joke) — you’ve heard of pet rocks, pet fish, birds, dogs and cats — well now dear friends you can have your very own PET FAT (created by Jay Jacobs). I think I will get the mini one so I can carry him or her (?) in my purse and take him or her everywhere I go.  I haven’t thought of a name yet — perhaps “Squishy” or “Bertha” or “Pudge.” I’m sure once my pet arrives I’ll be able to decide.

I sure hope these adorable new pets don’t start winding up abandoned in the pound! And that new owners get their pets “fixed” – after all we don’t want pet fats multiplying like rabbits all over the place and then going wild.

Update: It arrived!  My mini pet fat is sooooo cute! It really is a wonderful reminder of what 220 calories looks if they are ingested but not needed and then stored in the body.
