Wishing every one a Happy Halloween. In honor of the holiday I am featuring a bit of information on one food chain the produces some of scariest foods on the market. If you are faint of heart you may want to turn away.
Just in time to scare us, Hardee’s recently rolled out its new Country Breakfast Burrito — two egg omelets filled with bacon, sausage, diced ham, cheddar cheese, hash browns and sausage gravy, all wrapped inside a flour tortilla. The burrito contains 920 calories and 60 grams of fat.
That is one scary breakfast food! I can feel my arteries clogging just from reading the description.
These are same folks who also produce other frightening foods such as the Monster ThickBurger (1,420 calories, 107 grams of fat), Philly Cheesesteak Thickburger (930 calories, 63 grams of fat), and their very frightening salad which sends a chill up my spine - The Chicken Salad topped with onion rings and crispy chicken (1,100 calories and 83 grams of fat).
The Center for Science in the Public Interest, a Washington-based advocate for nutrition and health, has called the Hardee’s line of Thickburgers “food porn.”
What foods scare you?

Yeah, in America, everything is about bigger portions. Super size! Jumbo Biggie…
When I traveled to Europe, it was the opposite, the portions were all small.

OMG. I cannot believe that people are Legally allowed to make food that is that bad for you. I have always had issues with my weight, and I am obsessive with knowing what is in my food and how many calories I’m consuming. It always worries me when I am out with friends or family in a restaurant and I don’t know the nutrition facts. Your blog definitely shows that more people need to be educated about the fat content in their food. I am part of an online community that is centered around supporting one another through our weight loss. I really think that everyone there would benefit from what you’ve shared.
