Welcome everyone! You know what time it is – that’s right – it’s time to cheer, wave the pom poms, toss the confetti and spread the love as we celebrate the miracles of the scale across the blogosphere.
10/19 Lyn has misplaced another pound and it’s gone for good, and enjoy a parent-toddler gym class with her daughter.
10/19 Israel has a workout that makes me sweat just reading about it, and he’s sticking to it!
10/18 Mike has lost 51 lbs as of week 8 of his getting healthy journey.
10/17 Celtic Girl lost 2.2 lbs this week.
As I posted yesterday, even I had a miracle of the scale with a nice loss and normally I like to include a few more miracles of the scale, but this week was a very unusual one and I’d like to take a little time to celebrate a different kind of miracles.
This past Monday, my very dear friend who I have known for almost 20 years experienced one of the worst kind of nightmares a parent can go through – her 12 year daughter did not go to school and ran away. It took over 50 hours of intensive police and community searching to find her. She was found tired, hungry, and cold by Wednesday afternoon. We spent those long hours together focused on one thing – bringing her home safe. This is the kind of experience that makes what is truly important life crystal clear – nothing is more important that our children and the love of family and friends.
Also today I am celebrating what we call “family day” – the anniversay of the day our daughter was put in our arms Oct. 20, 1996. A moment my husband and I cherish and relive fondly. As we stood in a large starkly furnished room in an orphanage half way around the world in China a tiny angel (five months old) was placed into our arms and our lives have been filled the miracle of her love and joy ever since (she turned 11 this past May).
High fives all around to all those who lost this week! To those who may not have had a miracle of the scale this week – remember there are lots different kinds of miracles to celebrate and NEVER EVER give up on your improving health. Focus on health and stick to your healthy eating plan – the numbers on the scale are just that numbers – the true miracle is YOU and good health, love and family, and these are worth celebrating every day. Hug your children tight!
If you would like to be added to the blogroll just let me know and when you reach your goal also let me know and your link will be moved to the maintaining section. We can reach our goals together – one choice at time! Wishing everyone health and happiness.

I’m so glad your friend’s daughter was found safe and sound.
Congrats on your weight loss this week and everyone else’s as well.
And and extra special congratulations on your family day anniversary. My wife’s cousin and his wife adopted two children from overseas after having one of their own, and if the joy you’ve experienced is only 10% of theirs, you are still truly blessed.

Thank you so much for adding me to your blogroll.
Except for one thing, it does not work. You have the protocol in duplicate.
