Fatblogging is not always about good news – so this week I am posting yet another gain, weight 200 lbs which is a gain of .5 lbs. It takes me out of onderland (last week I hit the milestone of 199.5) – but I am actually handing it ok.
I know body weight fluates and the scale will see saw for no reason. I know I kept to my meal plan (5 protein medifast meals and one lean and green meal). I know I am doing all I can to get healthy and my focus is on the long term goal.
At the beginning of the week I had gained 3.5 lbs overnight, so I am just glad that most of that went away and the overall gain on my weighin day was only a half pound.
One change I am making is I ordered some progesterone cream. I have read a lot about it and hormone imbalance can really affect weight. I am 52 years old at the end of this month, I had a hysterectomy at age 20 – so biologically I’m probably 150 years old so perhaps a bit hormone support will help. My weight progress has been stalled since June, and I figure it’s worth trying something new. My medical advisor has told me they really don’t know why I have such a problem losing weight and that I am my own science experiment – so that is what I’ll do, time to experment a bit more and see if I can find a way to get a bit of steady progress (a pound a week would be awesome).

Weight fluctation is the reason I don’t get on the scales much at all. I know most people weigh daily, but I’ve seen as much as 8 pounds come and go in 24 hours. I think it has something to do with my FMF, I’m not sure. The doctor just looks at me like I’ve lost my mind when I ask her about it.
