Well I am totally at a loss to explain it — but I gained 3 1/2 lbs from Monday to Tuesday. All I had to eat was coffee (50 calories measured nonfat creamor); 2 hard boiled eggs (150 cal.), apple (100 cal.); 6 oz. baked skinless chicken (240 cal.); 1 bag of frozen broccoli (150 cal), 100 calories worth of air popped plain popcorn (totaling 790 for the day). I didn’t even have Crystal Light to eliminate the 40 calories (5 calories x 8 glasses), but I had red zinger tea 0 calories.
I asked hubby what he thought I should do since at this point I have no clue — he said just ignore it and pretend it didn’t happen. I told him I really HATE living in denial but since that is the best advice he had, I’ll just ignore it since I have no idea what else to do and really no other choice — giving up on eating healthy just is NOT an option — but I prefer facing the truth and having a plan of action and doing something rather then going along pretending everything is ok.
Oh well — for Tuesday so far I have had coffee (50 cal), an oatmeal packet for breakfast (160 calories), lettuce (45 cal) and 3 oz chicken (120 cal) for lunch and not sure about dinner yet — I was going to make the Hungarian goulash again (only 90 calories a serving) using tvp and the zero calorie noodles — but now I’m not so sure — what if I just can’t handle fiber? Or spices? Or soy? What if they make me gain even more weight? I am even afarid to use the yummy sauces I have that are recommended by the Rice House diet people — even though the sauces are no fat, no sugar, no salt, no dairy, no wheat and only 30ish calories, perhaps just having something yummy makes me gain weight — since smelling food makes me gain (I’ve tested it and believe I gain when I smell certain foods), maybe having good tasting food also makes me gain *shrugs*. I’m too old, too tired, and too burned out these days to have temper tantrum. There is a part of me (internally) that is just sitting in a corner weeping — but I’ll just keep plodding on and doing my best to go with the flow as if nothing happened as hubby suggests. It does get frustrating though at times..
