Tomorrow will be week #52 for my weighin (a whole year!) — its kinda of exciting, a little scary, a little depressing, but also very very Happy!!!

It’s exciting because I know I have accomplished a lot, its a little scarey because I’m not sure my body will cooperate and continue to drop the tonage, a little depressing because I know I have a long way to go yet and it can at times seems overwhelming, but overall I am HAPPY, and even more importantly HEALTHIER then I was a year ago.

Time is going to keep marching on, whether I take care of my health or not – it is MY choice how I wish to use my time and what I do with each day that is given to me, I can choose to make changes and take postive steps to making my next day and the next and the next after that even better and healthier, or I can choose to over stuff myself and do nothing. I am choosing to get healthy one day at a time!

I will be taking my measurements too, (I haven’t measured since starting my healthy eating plan). I am approaching the scale as if it were any other week — after all it’s just a tool to use as a guideline – the important focus is HEALTH. It’s natural to want to accomplish a certain “number” by a certain “date” or upcoming event — so I do have some anticipation — but I have worked all year to get to the point where I’m not so emotionally tied up in knots over the reading on the scale and I’m learning to take a more long term view of the process.
