Fatblogging Update: food for yesterday: coffee with nonfat creamor, 2 Extend bars (150 calories, 11 grams of protein each), 2 apples, 1 banana, 1 frozen lasagna dinner (350 calories), plain air popped popcorn (measured 200 calories). Exercise: 45 minutes walking while daughter was in karate class

The total calories were 1200. This is the highest I’ve been in a long time – but I was dealing with nonstop hunger for some reason for several days now and needed some relief. I’m feeling better today and the unending huge hunger seems to have sudsided. Perhaps my body just needed to know I wasn’t actually starving.

So far today I’ve had an extend bar and my usual morning coffee (and no hunger thank goodness). My supervisor is taking us out to lunch — at first I was going to say NO WAY!!! But decided to be brave – I know where we are going and they have a big salad bar, so I brought in a container of my very low fat dressing (approx 90 calores – 3 servings) and will have a big salad of mixed greens (100 calories estimating) and lots of water while we are out, and then my second Extend bar back at my desk later. For dinner I have planned a big salad with a sprinkling of very lean ground turkey on top (about 150 calories worth). (My daughter loves this too – we call it our “hot salad” and it is very yummy.) For exercise – 50 reps on core flex (works abs) and 30 minutes on the stationary bike level 2.
