Fatblogging Update for Yesterday – 1 cup coffee with nonfat creamor, breakfast and lunch Extend bars and apples (total 550 calories), dinner – Lean Cuisine dinner with a dessert (330 calories). Walked for 1 hour around the area while Angelgirl was at her karate lesson.
I rarely get frozen dinners – for several reason I won’t go into at the moment – but when they are on sale hubby picks up a few now and then, and when in a hurry they are good option. Lean Cuisine tastes pretty good too. BUT I noticed something very interesting – I haven’t had anything sweet in quite some time and really haven’t missed it. After eating the main course of the Lean Cuisine dinner, I had the apple dessert include (small amount of apples prepare sorta like a pie filling) – which was very nice. But soon after I found myself “wanting” something else, and thinking about what might be in the kitchen and if I could find something that would fit into my calorie limit. I realized the “sweetness” was lingering on my tongue, and my brain was responding by wanting more. I was not hungry, I had to leave to take Angelgirl to karate and I planned on walking for the hour – there was NO reason to be looking for more to eat. I quickly brushed my teeth with a good tongue scrubbing too. The rest of the evening was snack free and sweetness craving did not return. I will have to mention to hubby to not get the dinners with dessert (unless he is buying them for himself), or if I have one I just won’t eat it. It was a good reminder of how easily the cravings can get kick started again.
