My good friend Mama Kelly and I firmly believe that affirmations can help you stay focused and get healthy.
Here is Mama Kelly’s post on affirmations:
What we say, aloud to the world or silently to ourselves, we believe. Just as a child memorizes facts and figures through rote and recitation we teach ourselves what to think and feel every day by the words we repeat. Call them affirmations, call them mantras - they have POWER.
When we utter “I hate my life,” When we whisper “I hate my body,” when we shout “Nothing ever goes right.” We believe it. It becomes a habit. We reinforce those negative beliefs every day.
If we, instead, use loving phrases as our touchstones. If we, instead, use positive words to punctuate our day. Soon those thoughts will become our habits, and eventually can change our beliefs.
Works by Louise Hay (also her book: Heal Your Body) recommend repeating affirmations several hundred times every day. Choose 1 or 2 from the list below to begin, or use them as inspiration to create your own.
The Affirmations:
I enjoy being healthy. I’m on the road to fitness. I love the food that makes me thin. I can lose weight. I can change. I can let go of being compulsive. I will take care of me today. My children will benefit from my healthy changes. With each breath out, I exhale negative beliefs about my body. I am naturally drawn to the foods that my body needs to be healthy. I appreciate all the things that are beautiful about my body. I allow myself to have a beautiful body. I am creating healing energy in my life. I am getting healther every day. I like eating healthy, it makes me feel better. I eat only that which my body requires.
Sound impossible? A traditional mala holds 108 beads, to use one touch each bead as you say your affirmation. Find 4 or 5 moments in your life that you can consider spending 5 or 10 minutes working on your affirmations. Could you use them - On waking? At your mid-day meal? Before dinner? During “snack time”? Before bed? While walking? If you used the mala beads several times a day as you repeated your affirmation with each bead you will have made your positive affirmation several hundred times without even having to count.

The funny thing about diets and weightloss plans are their are so many and all do not work for everyone. The thing that you have to do is to keep trying different plans until you find the one that gets you the results you are looking for.
The most important thing is to keep on trying and you will find it.
If you check out enough diet sites you will find certain things that run through all of them and these generally are the things that you use to create your diet foundation.
I kept on searching until I found one that would allow me to eat whatever I wanted and still get in shape. I also shared this with some other people who thank me daily.
Keep trying and don’t stop!
