Just for the record, I decided to post an entry from my food journal. It is usually the same and very boring which is why I haven’t posted a lot about what I eat.

Yesterday Mar. 12, 2007

Breakfast: coffee with 2 Tbl non fat creamor (50 calories) and splenda, with 1 scoop Biopro Protein powder (80 calories), 1 apple (100 calories)

Lunch: 1 apple (100 calories), 1 Extend bar (150 calories, 11 grams of protein, designed to keep blood sugar levels stable for up to 9 hours)

Dinner: 1 bag of frozen brussel sprouts (5 servingx x 45 calories = total 225 calories) with 0 calorie butter flavor spray, 1 serving of frozen packaged fish (100 calories).

Other: 3 cans of diet soda and 1 bottle of flavoried water (0 calories), multi-vitamin, fish oil supplement, calciuim supplement.

Total calories for the day: 805 (3 servings of protein, 7 servings total of 2 fruits\5 veggie, fiber from fruits and veggies)

Breakfast and Lunch are almost always the same. Though sometimes I will have a can of soup for lunch (200 calories). Dinner I sometimes have soup (200 to 250 calories), or grilled cheese sandwich made from diet bread (80 calories) and diet cheese (60 calories), for a meat selection I usually have a few ounces of skinless chicken or lowest fat ground turkey I can find, and the veggie might be broccoli, green beans, califlower, or roasted carrots. As a treat once in awhile I might have a lean cuisine meal. Also once in awhile I will have a nonfat yogurt for 45 calories. If I am really, really hungry I will allow myself 100 to 200 calories of air popped popcorn with 0 calorie butter flavor spray – but I try to only have that on days the hunger is over the top. I never eat past 7 pm at night.

It’s quick, easy and doesn’t require a whole lot of preparation – 1 trip to the store each week and remembering to order the Extend bars and protein powder once every other month and I’m set.
