Sometimes I need to remind myself of my priorities – it helps keeps my focus and keeps me on track, especially when I’m slacking off on things like exercise (I admit it, the Fluidity thingy is out of the box and I still haven’t tried – beating myself with wet noodles as I blog).

Having to many priorities means nothing gets done (sometimes I think I have the attention span of a gnat because I can easily go off on way too many projects) – so I have to re-evaluate every once in awhile and remind myself what is truly important. Having under 10, I think is best – after all there are only 24 hours in a single day and in order to actually nurture and sustain a priority you need to tend to it daily. Also, since I firmly believe HEALTH is the #1 priority for everyone, that takes up the first slot automatically.

I firmly believe that having a priority means that is where your time, energy, actions and focus are – not just saying something is a priority. For example, if you “say” your children are your priority – but they spend most of their time in front of the tv and you spend most of your time playing online games or drinking in a bar – then your priority is having fun. Or if you say “saving money” is a priority – but you are shopping at the mall every weekend and your credit is maxed out – then your priority is buying.

Any way – you get my point.

So as a reminder to myself and to make myself accountable I am listing my priorities here.

My Priorities:
1) my health, 2) my daughter and husband; 3) my family and friends; 4) work (cause it pays the bills), home and taking care of every day needs; 5) enriching my well-being and enjoying life

That is enough deep thinking for one day – back to focusing on one of the above priorities.
