During our last visit Mama Kelly and I spent a lot of time discussing how to replace diet soda with healthier options, as well as drinks that would make us feel pampered and special without adding fat and calories to our daily food plan. Mama Kelly put together this collection of fun Calorie Free Drinks and Beverages, suitable for entertaining and parties.
I previously posted about our enjoyment of fresh lemonade and Celestial Seasonings Red Zinger Tea served iced and sweetened with Splenda, these recipes are sure to become favorites too.
Raspberry Lime Rickey (Source: All Recipes)
1 lime, quartered
8 fluid ounces carbonated water
1 jigger Sugar Free Raspberry Syrup (1.5 fluid ounce)
Fill a tall glass with ice. Squeeze each of the lime wedges into glass, and drop in. Fill glass nearly to the top with carbonated water, and top with raspberry syrup.

ice
sparkling water or club soda
1 oz Sugar Free Lemon Syrup
2/3 oz Sugar Free Toasted Marshmallow Syrup
1/3 oz Sugar Free Lime Syrup
While they recommend an option 1 oz of Half and Half, remember that every recipe presents the opportunity to think about substitutions. Leave it out, or try using evaporated skim milk instead. Even this little 1 oz. can make a big difference:
- 1 oz of half and half has 37 calories and is nearly all fat with 3.3 grams
- 1 oz of evaporated skim milk has only 5 calories and NO FAT
Fill a 16 oz glass 3/4 full of ice. Cover ice with sparkling water and add other ingredients. Mix well.
