**deep breath** I am NOT going to be discouraged. I am staying focused and positive. My good friend Mama Kelly and I had a wonderful weekend together, we each made a list of the next positive steps and changes to make along our journey to getting healthy, and helped each other with our commitment and motivation to stick with it.
So onward and forward!
**grumble grumble grumble**
(The little voice inside still wants to have a temper tantrum — but thats ok it can do that quietly in the corner while I enjoy my day and look forward to a big pitcher of red zinger ice tea tonight. Mama Kelly made it for me this weekend and I love it! So I’m making a big pitcher of it tonight.)
I have lots of new books to read for more information on insulin resistance, liver cleansing, and one book with 300 low glycemic recipes. I have a few new foods to try and some easy low calorie & low fat protein choices for this week meal plan.
My losing weight is NOT all about the calories and the number on the scale — I still have some health conditions to clear up also, and these contribute to making it more difficult to lose weight (i.e. fatty liver) — so my next steps are getting more healthy foods, the supplements I need to clear up some of the health concerns, and working on getting 40 to 50 grams of protein a day.
So lots of positive stuff going on and that is what is important (not the numbers on a scale)!
