Weight 238
Lost for the week 3 lbs.

That is certainly a pleasant surprise. I’m not jumping up and down with joy yet because I don’t trust it to last — but I’m willing to feel pretty good about it and wait and see.

It is also a HUGE milestone for me, because now I have under 100 lbs to lose (98 more to go) — so it means I’ve reached my first mini goal along the way. My next mini goal is to get to under 200.

Since this is going to be the week from Hell (2 Thanksgiving dinners to get through and NOT eat anything except a little white meat turkey and steamed veggies) — at least I can look back at this update and feel like I am making some progress and I’m keeping my fingers crossed its for real and the pounds don’t just come back for no reason.

I plan are staying OUT of both kitchens for Thanksgiving, because I have gained water weight just from smelling food cook (when my hubby cooks something like corned beef or baking a cake — I gain 3 to 5 lbs. even before it’s out of the oven).

I haven’t changed anything that I’m doing these past two weeks — so I am at a loss as to why before this I was gaining for a few weeks in a row, and now I’ve lost for two weeks in a row. I have been drinking diet soda — which I shouldn’t because of the sodium content, but I needed something to keep me going.

Oh well — I’ll just keep doing what I do, and taking it a day at a time.
