This is an article I read awhile back over on the MSNBC news page: But, it’s healthy … and other dieting mistakes, why do so many fail at weight loss? Experts offer 5 key reasons. This article has a lot of great advice and really points out how important it is that people KNOW what they are eating and how much. For example, people think I am crazy for not even tasting things that are fatty, creamy or sugary — but this articles confirms my commitment - it states every single bite counts (it says “think 25 calories a mouthful”) - 4 tastes a day = 100 extra calories, which can stop weight loss if it is done every day.

It is very easy to let one bite become two or three, and then to lose track of just how many nibbles and tastes have been consumed in one day or a few days.

Fresh veggies are great to nibble on and nourish your body, so if you need to have just one bite or nibble try to reach for something fresh instead of something with empty calories that will probably kick start cravings and hunger any way.
