Weight: 235 lb.s for Monday 12/11/06
(lost 2, and the 10 lbs gained for no reason last week)
I stuck with the Slim Fast all week for two meals, with a light dinner (350 to 400 calories). Weekend ate 2 light meals, with air popped popcorn for a snack.
I plan on doing the same this week. I am getting better at dealing with the hunger pangs. Physically, so far, I have been able to cope at work. Plus it is easy to stay away from food when hungry at work – I just don’t leave my cubicle.
This week is a BIG pot luck luncheon with our whole department. I am not going. I donated $5 to the lunch, instead of having to make a pot luck dish – that way I particiapted but avoided the food all together. Tomorrow our supervisor is taking us (the small group of support stuff) out to lunch – but I’m not going — she understands why though and isn’t pushing the issue.
So far two holiday food events totally avoided !!! yippee!! I don’t know of anything else planned. I only have this week at work – then I’m off two weeks. Being off takes more discipline and control — I have to avoid all the goodies my hubby brings into the house. But so far I have managed to not even smell it or taste it, and if I see anything out, I quickly cover it or put it away so I don’t even have to look at it. Last weekend hubby and my daughter made brownies for my daughter’s school bake sale – I didn’t even have a crumb to taste them, but I did admire how pretty they came out (decorated with chocolate chips) and helped with the wrapping in pretty little baggies with a few xmas candies added.
So lots of self control and I should make it through the holidays. The day after xmas we are leaving for four days on vacation back to Williamsburg – but I survived our vacation there before, and will just pack foods I can eat. We are renting a place with a kitchen again – so I shouldn’t have to be faced with eating out very much. If I do – I’ll stick to salad!
I am looking forward to the New Year, I am ready to reaffirm my commitment to losing weight and reaching my goal.
My follow up with the cardiologist is the beginning of Feb. – I hope to “wow” them with having lost a lot of weight. I am hoping to lose 10 to 15 lbs more by then.
