Weight 205.5 gained 2.5 lbs

I have no clue why – I didn’t stray once from the medically supervised diet I’m on – five meals are provided for me in small packets mixed with water, and one meal I make with a small amount of lean protein and 3/4 cup of a low carb veggie – I make my dinners on the weekend, measure them out and keep them in the freezer so it’s easy all week and I don’t have to think about food. So it is impossible that I had more calories (daily calories are between 850 – 950 a day).

I admit I was a bit disappointed to see the numbers on the scale. I didn’t expect miracles from this diet – most people lose like 20 lbs a month on it, and I knew that would never happen for me. But I hoped to see at least a lb or 2 drop a week. However, after a month on it, with this gain it wiped out almost all the previous lost lbs, so the total loss for this month is only a half of a pound.

Only thing I can think that caused it, is my doctor last Friday cut my blood pressure medication in half (since it’s getting a lot lower) – and since the medication is mostly a diuretic, that with half as much I am probably retaining a lot more water.

On my slug challenge (exercising) I am up to 35 pushups (modified ones) and 35 triceps pushups, 50 ab crunches (using the back support thingy) and added 10 leg extensions. (goal: 100 regular pushups, triceps pushups, ab crunches, 50 leg extensions). I do the routine for two days, off one day, and increase reps a little every few days.

It’s health that matters not size! I will carry on and get strong!
