Don’t be a fool, eat for fuel!
Welcome one and all. Today I am sharing a question I recently asked myself, “How are you spending your most valuable assets?”
After visiting the cardiologist this week for my six month checkup I reminded of just how valuable one’s health is and how far I’ve come. When I first visited the doctor I had a blood pressure that was highter then 130/90. As of this visit it was 104/67, she has reduced my medication (for the second time) and I’ve lost over 85 lbs.
Your most valuable assets are not the diamond ring on your finger, the money in the bank, or even your house – these thing can all be replaced. What is truly of value are your health, your attention, and your time. (Of course your family and friends too, but we are talking about YOU for right now.)
How are you spending your health? I know I used to avoid the doctor’s office as much as possible – I still have to drag myself in for regular check ups. After all my daughter needs her annual check up, so mom has to do it too – to set a good example, but even if I didn’t have a child I would still drag my butt in there! It’s important – there is only one of YOU. Are you packing in a ton unhealthy foods, spending most of your time in front of the tv and squandering your good health? Your blood pressure, sugar levels, etc. may all be ok now – but if you keep mistreating your body, time and age will catch up with you. Are you writing checks on your health, your body isn’t going be able to pay later on? Where is your attention most of the time? – video games, feeling sorry for yourself, worrying over what if’s, instead of focusing on the positives in your life, picturing what you want in life and truly visualizing health and happiness (remember: energy flows where your thought flow, you will manifest in your life what you are thinking).
Put your thinking H.A.T. on and protect your assests – health, attention, time.
