SPECIAL DISCOUNT FOR DIET PULPIT BLOG READERS: SAVE 40%
The 50-calorie diet 8 oz drink Satiatrim, according to their website, activates your body’s natural appetite control switch that turns off the valve that controls the movement of food from the stomach, so it slows the movement of food from the stomach making you feel full faster (“natural gastric pacemaker”), which helps you eat less, and keeps you hunger-free between meals (they call it “willpower in a glass”).
- Decreases food intake by 20%
- Decreases the feeling of hunger for up to four hours after eating
- Increases fat burning over a 24-hour period
It contains no sugar and comes in three flavors Chocolate, Vanilla and Mixed Berry.
Introductory Offer: 20% off and free shipping. (Blog discount above is 40%)
I tried all three flavors – definitely better cold but ok at room temperature. The chocolate tastes like yoohoo (but not sweet), the other two flavors are very mild tasting and ok. I had several people at work try it out also and they all said it was ok and some liked it and thought it was tasty. We kept track of how it affected our appetites after breakfast and lunch. Every one said it did seem to reduce their appetite and noticed they were not hungry (or not as hungry) at 3 p.m. (their usual time for a mid-afternoon snack) – having another Satiatrim at 3 p.m. took care of the hunger. The website recommends having a Satiatrim (8 oz) before each meal and for a snack for a daily total of 100% calcium, some antioxidants from green tea, 200 calories, 8 grams of soy protein and 8 grams of fiber (or each: 50 calories, 2 g protein, 2 g fiber).
I tried it for a couple days and it does seem to cut down on the hunger. The containers are convenient to tuck in a small purse or briefcase.
Eating an apple at 3 p.m., having a cup of green tea or glass of water, or a bit of salad or light soup before a meal are all ways to reduce the amount of higher calorie foods we eat. However, if you are looking for something to help reduce your appetite that is premade, has a balance of protein and fiber, is only 50 calories and is very convenient to take along with you then Satiatrim might be something you can want to try.
I did like that it gives you all the calcium you need for the day if you have 4 servings and is more convenient that carrying around a milk carton with you. So it could replace your dairy intake for the day (calories are about the same as having 2 glasses of milk), while also providing some appetite reduction and snack replacement.
I think it is a better choice then diet pills and some other things that are out there. The taste, convenience and calcium were definitely a plus.
My rating: 3 1/2 halos

My concern is the caffeine content. I’m not a coffee drinker and actually must avoid caffiine per doctor’s orders due to severe Raynaud’s Disease. I love what Satiatrim has to offer, but drinking up to 5 cartons per day would be like drinking 5 cups of coffee. Why is the caffeine added? Does it serve a purpose?

It’s definitely not for everyone. I would assume the caffeine gives you that little boost to perk you up — often we eat because we feel our energy sagging and our body responds by thinking we need food, but most likely we don’t, we could just need a more sleep at night, more water for hydration, more oxygen (deeper breathing).
