Guiltless Organic Mojito
From Chef Tom: Today is a hot and humid day in New York. After a hard day at work, its nice to have a nice cool adult beverage. This refreshing Organic Mojito recipe is sure to satisfy without any guilt!
What are some of your favorite summer beverages?
Organic Mojito Servings: 1
4 organic mint leaves
2 teaspoons organic sugar
1 ounce fresh organic lime juice
2 ounces organic rum
splash of seltzer
sprig of mint and slice of lime for garnish
Lightly muddle the mint, sugar, lime juice and rum in the bottom of a tall glass using a wooden spoon.
Once the mint is crushed and the sugar is dissolved, strain into an ice filled cocktail shaker.
Shake vigorously for 5 seconds.
Fill the glass with crushed ice, and strain the drink into the glass.
Add a splash of seltzer and garnish with a slice of lime and a fresh mint leaf.
