Don’t Be a Fool-Eat For Fuel!
Greetings and welcome brother and sisters, this Sunday we are turning over the pulpit to Tom LeDree. Without further ado, I give you Tom LeDree, from Get Inspired. Hallelujah!

From Tom: In my post we established that “Nothing happens until something moves”. Now we just have to make sure that the movement is in the right direction! It’s no good moving if your taking one step forward and three steps back. An example of moving in the wrong direction is deciding to start an exercise program and over doing it. You have all the motivation and good intentions. You get your sports gear on and run 5 miles. You come back exhausted, unable to do anything for the rest of the day. The next morning your whole body aches. Just moving out of the chair is painful; let alone the thought of another run!
So there goes the exercise program and now even hearing the word “exercise” causes you to cringe.
STOP
Here is the trick to moving. It’s all about building steady momentum. Think of it like this. If your goals is:
To lose weight.
To build a successful blog.
To start a business.
Basically anything!
Think of it like being set the challenge of pushing a broken down car.

If you were set the task of pushing a car 10 miles, getting behind it and running with it would be the wrong way to go about it. After 5 minutes you are going to be on the floor gasping for air and too tired to do anymore for the rest of the day. But if you start it rolling and take a nice slow pace that you can handle you will make more progress. On day 2 of the challenge the person who ran with the car is going to be too tired to try pushing it any further. They have burnt themselves out. The other person wakes up pleased, encouraged and motivated with yesterdays progress and continues pushing the car everyday untill they cross the finish line.
Learn from this: When you start something new, start slowly! Learn to walk before you run. You can apply this to anything in life not just fitness. If you run a blog don’t start trying to post 3 posts a day from the start. Get use to it first; write a post, promote it, spend some time getting some feedback and next time you write apply what you have learnt. Also life is not a contest. The only person you are against is yourself. If you can improve a tiny bit each day, taking one step after the other in the right direction, You WILL get there.
Never give up – You can’t beat someone that doesn’t quit.
