On the home scale this week weighin, I’m the same weight as last week, 306.5 lbs. Not making any progress (again) is making it harder and harder each week to stay positive. So I’ve decided that since I’ve started a new journey and preparing for weight loss surgery (approx Aug 2009) it was time to start with a clean slate and find a way to kick off and hopefully maintain a positive focus and attitude.

Today would be week 144 since I started blogging and tracking my weighins here on May 1, 2006. I started out at 293.5 lbs, managed to drop over 90 pounds extremely slowly and then quickly gained it all back and more.

My weighin with the weight loss director (John) last week I was up four pounds from my first visit a month a go (first vist last month 304 lbs; second visit 308 lbs). Not a very good way to start off since I was suppose to lose five to ten pounds in that time.

Any way this week I’m listing 306.5 lbs as my (new) starting weight, and next week weighins will be my new beginning, Week 1. A fresh start and a clean slate.

I’m not denying the past almost 3 years of failure recorded here, or the decades before that of tons lost and more tons gained. All the information from previous weighins will stay here for the record. However, mentally and emotionally I’m moving on and starting over, and focusing on the new journey ahead. I’m working on focusing on being a weight loss surgery candidate now in the present. Rather then postponing making big drastic changes after surgery, I want to focus on mentally, emotionally, and physically starting to make the big drastic changes now over the next five or six months that it takes to get surgery date scheduled.

New Beginning Summary – started new week 1 and new weight loss ticker on weighin summary page.
Starting weight: 306.5   (fresh start 3/1/09)
Goal: 140 lbs (tenative and not written in stone)
Total Pounds To Lose: 166.5 lbs
