The photo for the ad is beautiful, but the tagline is a disgrace!

Thanks to Brian for bringing this dreadful ad campaign to our attention. I feel so strongly about it I just had to drag out my soapbox and blog about it. I don’t care that it is in Brazil and not here in the U.S. – wrong is wrong no matter where it happens.

Let me start by saying I think the women in the all three of the ad photos are awesome, beautiful and sexy. And I’m not upset about the photos – they are totally cool.

But what Fit and Light Yogurt has done with their ad tagline is so distasteful I’m at a loss or words.

They have 3 ads (that I know of) that feature lovely curvy women replacing the original actresses in the scenes from famous movies, with the tag line “Forget about it. Men’s preference will never change. Fit & Light Yogurt.”

I’d love to know your thoughts on these ads and the whole issue of ad campaigns that promote this kind of awful thinking.
