As you know I have been working on setting up the new domain for the blog I coauthor with my best friend Mama Kelly. We are moving over all the posts for the past 2 years (over1300) and it is a huge job. My other huge project is sorting out the junk and trying to get my house organized. Together these two projects are an interesting trip down memory lane.
It is interesting to read over posts from when I first started blogging. It is a harsh reminded that I have been dealing with the same issues for a very long time, though I’m not surprised. If I found any handwritten journals I kept (even decades old), most of the same issues and themes would most likely be covered in them as well. The same issues seem to be unrelenting in their stubbornness. There are also posts about projects I started (but have not finished) and new ideas and hobbies I wanted to pursue (but haven’t had the time or energy).
As I’ve been sorting the ton of boxes in various rooms of my house, I have come across so many that are unopened (i.e. chainmaille jewelry kit, supplies and books). They had been shoved into a dark corner (by hubby when he helps tidy up) out in the garage or inside a bigger box and buried beneath a moutain of other junk. I’ve also found lots of unfinished arts and crafts projects. I have so many photos and scrapbooking supplies I think I could open up my own little shop.
It could all be a bit depressing if I had time to think about it. But I am determined to keep on moving forward with unrelenting determination to get my life simplified and manageable.
Health and happiness, Lady Rose

Thats the trick I guess. To not let “the old” weigh us down any more, to stop judging ourselves so harshly and to use this - the new blog, the cleaning and purging of our homes - as a fresh start without any shame or blame.
