Low Calorie Convenience Foods from the Super Market
Here a list of some of the low calorie foods I find tasty and helpful when preparing a quick meal or packing a lunch:
- Walden Farm’s 0 calorie fat dressings and vegetable dip (produce section of grocery store)
- Weight Watchers\Lean Cuisine frozen meals
- Progresso\Campbell’s soups (many are only 110 per serving with 2 servings a can)
- Ultra Lean Hot Pockets (200 calories - good for a treat once in awhile as a fast meal)
- Dole fruit cups (60 calories each)
- Pre-diced\chopped fresh veggies
- Frozen boneless, skinless chicken breast (Tyson 130 calories each - my favorite is the honey mustard)
- Lean turkey slices - 97% fat free (packaged in slices - 30 calories each)
- Kraft low-fat cheese (30 calories per slice)
- Tuna - packed in water
- Whole wheat\whole grain reduced calorie bread - 40 calories per slice
- Kraft 0 fat mayo (10 calories tablespoon)
- Gorton’s fish filets (100 calories each)
- Bags of frozen veggies (espcially green beans and broccolli - only 125 calores for the whole bag)
- Crystal Light
- Egg substitute
- Heinz 0 fat gravy - 10 calories per 1/4 cup, comes in a jar
- low fat cottage cheese (90 calories a serving) - Breakstone
- 0 fat calorie butter flavored spray
- Crystal Louisana Hot Sauce (just a drop or two - adds nice kick without being “hot”)
Reminder: Amazon now sells NON PERISHABLE grocery store items - and healthy ones too. If you regularly purchase books or toys, etc. from this seller consider adding your “diet foods” to the cart as well. How convenient is that!
