Today is hubby’s 54th birthday.

Since he is a teacher, he has off in the summer so he got to spend a fun morning with our 12 year old daughter. They stopped at the bagel shop for breakfast and then played miniature golf together.

When I got home at about 3:30 (I get out early from work on Fridays during the summer) we celebrated with a musical birthday card, Chinese take out, and an ice cream cake, and had a family afternoon and evening together. And tomorrow morning bright and early we leave for a three-day family vacation. His gift is on preorder, so it hasn’t arrived yet - Madden 2009 (football game for the wii).

It was a great day and we are all looking forward to fun weekend.
